I am totally amazed at how stupid a major political party's supporters can be.
It caters to the rednecks.
But how did it get to be that way? The Republican Party of the early 20th century was progressive, an engine of good ideas.
The Republican Party of the 1860's ended slavery, and reconstructed the South.
Has that party lost its soul along the way?
The republican party changed when it picked up the abortion stance it now favors. And then came Reagan, Bush and Bush. Spendaholics to the max.
