After the Election

Maybe the time has come now to universally recognize that the Republican Party is obsolete.   It has become largely a party of white males and crackers, in their limited scope leaving the rest of the citizens out in the cold.  It generates no proposals for government; it merely serves as a brake on any type of progress, nut only for a while.

It's largely something to be lampooned now; it is so easily ridiculed even Jon Stewart can do it.

But, with the fading of the Republican Party, what can take its place?  The present major parties have been around competing since 1856, when John Fremont ran against James Buchanan.  Previous attempts at a third party failed dismally, except for Theodore Roosevelt's Progressives in 1912.

We should have a era of Democratic progress, before any Republican resurgance or a third party becomes strong enough.  Maybe the people can become acceptant of a larger parricipation of government in their lives.  I hope so.
